Tis’ the season to celebrate, and Los Angeles’ jam-rockers The Higgs are ready to bring the party to the Miracle Theater December 27th and 28th. The four-piece “Cosmic-California Rock” outfit will be performing after the Dead & Co. shows, with a very special set prepared for night one.
Lead singer and guitarist John Lovero shared his thoughts on the upcoming show: “We are elated to play the historic Miracle Theatre Inglewood! For those of you attending the Dead & Co. shows, this will be a perfect chance to keep the night going. The band has been fortifying a few special surprises that you aren’t going to want to miss! We have been hard at work in the rehearsal studio, making sure to create two nights you won’t forget!”
The Higgs have something special in store for fans on December 27th, the incredibly talented foursome has crafted a setlist full of surprises that will not only have fans groovin’ and movin’ but also will have them on their toes trying to guess what might come next. The set will feature covers of fellow jam artist’s songs. We would love to tell you more, but it’s so much more fun to tease! The band has prepared a little peek into their plans with a poem to share what may be in store for the covers set.
My dreams are on fire,
Dreaming my desire.
Hook a wire to my brain,
Relax & keep my dreaming free.
Keeping the world on a string,
Winter slowly stumbled home.
You ran faster than the wind,
While every breath resembled smoke.
While the morning is crying rays of sunrise,
Remember to always celebrate the people you love. Take a look into the haze as the world starts beating, As long as there’s water and the lights are low.
So leave the light on for me lady, In the darkness our tribe will always find the way home.
