Today, at 4:20 PM, groove rock quartet Aqueous released a shiny new pro-shot video of footage from their performance at The Bluebird Theatre in Denver, CO earlier this month. Taking place on June 9, the show was a sell out, a big deal for a rising rock band hailing from far away in Buffalo, NY. The video features the band’s cover of Pink Floyd’s beautiful tune, “Fearless.”
Given the ethereal, dramatic quality of the original Floyd tune, it surprises us not that a cover from a modern prodigy of space-rock like Aqueous truly shines. The version in the video below starts off and finishes in a pleasing, gentile atmosphere, and in the middle powers through a delicate yet focused miniature jam from the band—centered around some slick slide guitar work from Mike Gantzer. About the show, the guitarist had this to say:
“Denver was one of my favorite shows of 2018 so far- The Bluebird Theater is a beautiful room and it was epic and very fun to throw down to a sold-out crowd in such an amazing place. The energy was through the roof.”
