As a celebrated member of the greater jamband community for a number of years, guitar virtuoso Marcus Rezak has been able to perform regularly with all kinds of superstar musicians, including touring, writing and recording with members of Frank Zappa, Umphreys McGee, and more. This weekend, Rezak will be reconvening his collaborative Grateful Dead tribute project Shred is Dead in southern Vermont for a series shows which will include special guests Vinnie Amico of moe., Chris DeAngelis of Kung Fu, and Scott Hannay of Mister F. Tickets for the shows, which can be purchased via the venue websites here and here, are split into VIP and GA admission, and details are below.
Thursday night, October 8, Rezak will kick off a full weekend run of shows with a special acoustic performance alongside guitarist Zach Nugent, outside and socially distanced at popular music venue Zenbarn. The two guitarists have collaborated a number of times in the past, so this is sure to be a well-polished and memorable evening of collaboration.
Rezak will then join Shred is Dead for two nights in the area, first performing on Friday October 9 at The Double E in Essex, VT, which is being advertised to have “indoor, outdoor, and drive-in seating.” Rezak will return to Zenbarn with the full band on Saturday October 10 to kick off the venue’s fall and winter indoor concert series. The performance will be capped at 60 persons in attendance and remain socially distant inside.
Tickets to the shows at Zenbarn and The Double E are split into VIP and GA packages, and the following is the breakdown of each experience, taken from show run’s official press release:
The Double E has provided FOUR different viewing options for you to catch this performance.
