This year has certainly been a very strange year, not least of all in terms of our favorite music.Yet despite the unusual circumstances, many bands and artists have been banding together and reminding us that in times of need, music truly soothes the soul.
Tomorrow on Friday, June 19th at 7PM MST, four Denver bands—Amoramora, RADO Shreds, Sqwery, and The Matt Weiman Band—will be joining forces in support of the Black Lives Matter Movement with an event called “Groovin’ For Good.”
The event will consist of back to back performances from each band at Denver music venue Your Mom’s House, and will be streamed online for free. That being said, in their efforts to financially contribute to the BLM movement, the bands will be asking for donations for charity organizations they have each selected.
The charities that each band is partnering with are as follows (they are linked so you can click through and learn more about them if you’d like):
Sqwerv: Colorado Freedom Fund
The Matt Weiman Band: Black Lives Matter 5280
Grooving for Good will be presented by Boogie Groove Entertainment and streamed with the help of Camera Jams at 7 PM MST and go until the wee hours of the morning. Kick back and dance the night away with all these talented Colorado musicians, and make sure to donate if you feel so inclined.
