Next week, foundational indie folk band Fruit Bats will set off on an extensive tour across the U.S., starting off with a show at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Continuing through Boston, Burlington, Portsmouth, and Syracuse, the band will also perform a few shows in Canada, in and among stops down south in Atlanta, Asheville, Charlottesville, and then out west. The tour will end with two nights in Seattle on December 20 and 21. You can see the full list of tour dates below, and for more information, head to the band’s website at http://www.fruitbatsmusic.com.
The tour follows up the 2019 release of Gold Past Life, the band’s first new studio creation in three years. Considered to be “the end of an unintentional thematic trilogy of records,” the new album is yet another batch of beautiful, catchy and thought-provoking songs from this band.
In addition to the release of Gold Past Life, Fruit Bats also released this year a fifteen minute film titled Getting in a Van Again, a surrealist mini-documentary about the music industry and the process of making their record. Stream the whole documentary below courtesy of the band’s official YouTube page.
