As we’re sure you’re well aware, prog-funk quartet TAUK are headed to Manhattan this weekend to play a big two-night run at The Brooklyn Bowl, joined by Virginia indie jamband Kendall Street Company on night one and local Brooklyn rockers PEAK on night two. While these will be a wild couple nights of music, the fun doesn’t have to stop at The Bowl, at least on night one.
On Friday, October 18, 10-piece funk outfit We Thee Funk will host an official after-party only a few blocks away from The Brooklyn Bowl, at local music recording space Sera Phi. Starting at midnight, We Thee Funk will carry the funky jams well into the morning, and also promise to deck out the venue with immersive visuals and a vibrating dace floor. The lineup comprising We Thee Funk is a 10-member collection of some of the area’s most exciting musicians:
Lenny Stein – Rhythm Guitar
Eddie Arjun Peters – Lead Guitar
Patricia Perone – Vocals
Lee Herman – Vocals
Chris DiNardo – Bass
Dan Purdom – Keys
Seth Eisenstein – Tenor Sax
Oliver Burkat – Drums
The after-party will also feature local musicians Joél Gonzalez and Luke Penella. TAUK might wipe you out this Friday night, but never discount the possibility of being hungry for more funk. If that’s the case, We Thee Funk at Sera Phi will be the place to be.
