Four-member groove rock artists PEAK are a relatively new presence in the New York City music scene, but they’re already starting to make some serious waves. Their debut album Electric Bouquet, released last year, was produced by none other than Dave Brandwein of Turkuaz, and they just recently solidified their lineup with newest member Josh T. Carter, formerly a member of the recently defunct Hayley Jane and The Primates.
Other players rounding out PEAK are Kito Bovenschulte (currently also a member of Particle) on drums, keyboardist Johnny Young, and PEAK founder and frontman Jeremy Hillard on guitar and vocals, and together over the past year they have been playing some highly buzzworthy shows at the most popular spots around the northeast and beyond.
Just this week, PEAK announced their 2019 fall tour, which already under way with a show at Casa del Sol in Nyack, NY. Next week, the tour gets its second date in a huge show for the band: a set at Brooklyn Bowl next Saturday, October 19, opening for prog jam favorites TAUK. The fall tour picks back up in November and December, with shows scheduled for Connecticut, Vermont, New York, New Hampshire, Massachusets, and Pennsylvania, where they’ll play a show with Manhattan jamtronica act Space Bacon.
If all of that weren’t exciting and impressive enough for the band, PEAK has also managed this week to release the first installment of a new live recording series, dubbed “Hot Clips Vol. 1.” This first volume comes from a recent show at Bridgeport, CT’s BRYAC.
