That’s the next single-syllable name titling record number twenty-three for artist, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Keller Williams, and it comes out next weekend on May 31. While Keller will have all summer long to introduce this new material to fans, the first place he’ll do so is at Garcias at The Capitol Theatre, when he performs two back-to-back nights there on May 30 and 31.
This will be the second time that Keller makes an appearance at the east coast venue. Last August, Keller performed at Garcia’s for a three-night run that had fans cramming the place and selling out all three shows well in advance. This time around, with next weekend’s shows being the official album release party for Add, should be even better. As for the record itself, Keller’s team has alluded that it will be “adding vocals back into both new and previously unrecorded songs, as well as his own versions of “Brave Captain” by Firehose and Joni Mitchell’s “All I Want.” Here’s what else they had to say about the album, taken from the official press release for the Garcia’s event:
Continuously evolving as an artist over the last two decades, Add showcases Williams’
masterful penchant for innovation and his impressive level of musicianship. Performing on
vocals, acoustic and bass guitars, keys, percussion and upright bass, Williams has also
injected the record with various drum samples and deep vocal bass effects to create a truly
unique sound. Add was co-produced, recorded and mixed by Jeff Covert in Fredericksburg,
Virginia, and will be released both digitally and on vinyl, with a very limited amount of CDs
also available for purchase.
