Adirondack Independence Music Festival will return to Lake George, NY this weekend, for its fourth consecutive year. The event, which will feature a multitude of jam scene-friendly live music, will take place once again at Charles R. Wood Festival Commons from Friday Aug. 31 through the afternoon of Monday Sept. 3.
For its headliners, Adirondack will feature prime sets from two of the currently mist buzzed about jambands, Twiddle and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. The two will close out Saturday and Sunday respectively with two back to back sets each.
In addition to Twiddle, Saturday will also see a coveted solo set from Keller Williams, Sublime tribute act Badfish, two sets from the Dead-Allmans tribute project Steal Your Peach, and performances from Formula 5, Deep Banana Blackout’s Jen “Pipes” Durkin with her band The Business, and The Melting Nomads. Sunday likewise will deliver the jam all day long, with sets from Pink Talking Fish, Lespecial, Lucid, Swift Technique, Let’s Be Leonard, and a very special debut set by the supergroup Back to School Special, featuring Turkuaz’s Craig Broadhead and Mikey Carubba, Kung Fu’s Beau Sasser, and Lettuce’s Sam Kininger.
As for late night action, Adirondack Independence Music Fest will have plenty in store all weekend. King Neptune’s and Shepard Park will host Friday night pre-parties, late-night sets on Saturday and Sunday, and a “Last Chance” Beach Party on Monday afternoon and feature the jamming talents of Wild Adriatic, Goose, Ladies Drink Free, and more.
