Yesterday, soul garage rock outfit Howlin Rain released a new video for their single “Missouri,” which comes from their forthcoming new album, The Alligator Bride. Set to be released next Friday, June 8, The Alligator Bride has already received ample praise from the likes of NPR Music, Mojo Magazine, and Uncut Magazine as the most anthemic and fully realized work from the group since their inception in 2006.
The single and album release coincides with a 28-date, cross-country tour the band will kick off this weekend. Starting at Desert + Denim in Joshua Tree, CA on Saturday June 2, Howlin Rain’s tour will take them across California for several more shows, before heading towards Nevada, Idaho, and Portland, Oregon. Then a night in D.C. will commence an east coast portion of the tour, at the heart of which will be two back to back nights at NYC’s The Brooklyn Bowl. Joining them for the Brooklyn Bowl weekend will be the recently highly popular Grateful Shred, as well as tour mates Mapache. After that, the band will circle between the midwest and east with multiple dates in Ohio, Canada, Missouri, before a tour finisher back in California.
