We hope you’re getting real excited! The String Cheese Incident are choosing to spend New Year’s Eve on the east coast, at none other than The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. Their three-night stand will take place on Dec. 29, 30, and 31—and nights two and three are sold out! But, there are still tickets available for night one, so get ‘em while they last!
Over twenty years touring and jamming together, and in 2017 The String Cheese Incident are putting out some of their best, most musically creative shows ever. This year’s been pretty darn good for the band—crafting new material in their recently opened Sound Lab Studio, jamming with Garaj Mahal in British Columbia. But there is always something about The Capitol Theatre—it’s history, it’s sound—that manages to bring out the-best-of-their-best performances from so many bands that come through.
This will actually be only the second time The String Cheese Incident will have played at The Cap, the other time being a very solid two night stint in 2014. Those who were lucky enough to attend might remember that magical “Joyful Sound” and “Shakedown St.” jam pairing, whereas night two was all about that monster “Just One Story,” and of course the funktastic sit-in from Todd Stoops on “Rosie!”
So you better believe three more nights at The Capitol Theatre might yet produce some of the grooviest cheese of the whole year!
