The Jubilee is hosted on Memorial Day weekend (May 26-28) by the stalwart Dead-tribute band Dark Star Orchestra, and joined by some of their closest friends. Dark Star Jubilee brings not only Deadheads together but music fans of all forms. What better place to host a gathering of smiling, music-loving fans than the old stomping grounds of Jerry himself.
As the festival grows and matures into its own unique experience, the musical acts continue to mirror that growth. With past jams from artists like Perpetual Groove to the late night rumbles from Yonder Mountain String Band, Jubilee encompasses it all. The 6th annual Jubilee is no different. As if six sets of Dark Star Orchestra weren’t enough to make the festival amazing, the additions of Greensky Bluegrass, Keller Williams Kwahtro and Hot Tuna will surely create a weekend like no other. As the Jubilee community continues to support a healthy recovery for David Nelson (invited to play on the initial lineup), we welcome Railroad Earth with open arms to this year’s Jubilee as his replacement. At the end of the night, as the moon rises higher and the main stages have dimmed their lights; keep your ear high, for the rowdy Rumpke Mountain Boys might be picking somewhere into the early morning!
Dark Star Jubilee has so much to offer to their loving patrons. In addition to great music, they have an extremely friendly staff, an amazing venue and a kid-friendly atmosphere that is like no other. Families rejoice in a festival so welcoming not only to families, but to kids of all ages!
