Lettuce will be hosting their second annual festival of funk, Fool’s Paradise, in St. Augustine, Florida this spring. In addition to two of their own sets, they will be joined by Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, The Floozies, Manic Science (Manic Focus x Break Science), The Main Squeeze and Organ Freeman. Dead & Company bassist Oteil Burbridge will be showing up all over the place, as the “artist-at-large.” The event will take place March 31 and April 1 at the St. Augustine Amphitheater, located just steps from the beach in the historic Anastasia State Park.
Treated as an intimate, destination festival, Fool’s Paradise will take full advantage of the natural beauty surrounding St. Augustine, with special, artist-led excursions to be announced in the coming weeks. There will also be late-night shows at the neighboring Elk’s Lodge, with artists to be announced soon. Festival goers can camp at one of two nearby campgrounds, or stay in any of the multitude of lodging options in St. Augustine. There are VIP hotel packages available as well.
Fool’s Paradise is put on by Purple Hat Production and Silver Wrapper, organizers of premier music festivals such as Suwannee Hulaween and Purple Hatter’s Ball, in conjunction with Live For Live Music. More information on tickets and lodging can be found here.
