This Saturday Yonder Mountain String Band will headline Party in the Holler, a one-of-a-kind Labor Day weekend camping event that will take place at ACE Adventure Resort in New River Gorge, West Virginia.
Also starring the music lineup will be Larry Keel Experience, Asheville’s own Town Mountain, and the Josh Daniel-Mark Schimick Project. Are you thinking what we’re thinking? Well, you’re right – this party is going to be an Appalachia-style front porch-stompin’ fiesta.
The open-air stage is located atop the picturesque Wonderland Mountain, where attendees are invited to camp just a stone’s throw away from all the fun. The music starts at 6 p.m. and should end around 1 a.m., according to festival organizers, making the $60 All Mountain Pass (includes camping and ticket) well worth the price.
For those looking to get their adventure on this Labor Day weekend, Party in the Holler is made for thrill-seekers. The resort is situated on a nationally acclaimed whitewater hub and provides almost any outdoor activity imaginable, from whitewater rafting to zip lining to mountain biking. And let’s not forget the Wonderland Waterpark, a 5-acre site with sandy beaches and a spring-fed lake filled with water toys, including everyone’s favorite, The Blob. Thus, Party in the Holler presents to its attendees the Adventure Pass, which includes two nights of camping, a half-day pass to the Wonderland Waterpark, and the choice of your own adventure activity.
As ACE Adventure Resort’s Special Events Coordinator Chris Colin puts it, “You choose the adventure and we will provide the soundtrack.”
Tickets can be purchased here.
