Sometimes you just need a little mid-week Dead to get you through till the weekend. The Golden Gate Wingmen let loose with a packed house at The Grey Eagle in Asheville, North Carolina on Wednesday. Jamming right into a powerful “Bertha” to start the set, the show also included stellar covers of Paul Simon’s “Hearts And Bones” and The Band’s classic “When I Paint My Masterpiece” before a chilling “Terrapin Station” to bring it crashing home. An encore of “Going Down The Road Feeling Bad” was the perfect exit for this momentary, magical lapse in the work week.
