Get ready – this Friday Papadosio returns to Asheville, North Carolina for a hometown throwdown. Hosted at New Mountain Amphitheater, Papadosio will play two sets, with Push/Pull Strikes Brass to open the night. This will be one of Push/Pull Strikes Brass’ first official shows, having played at Kinnection Festival in Deerfields, North Carolina this May.
This is the official Preparty for LEAF Downtown, a free festival featuring Big Sam’s Funky Nation, The Broadcast, Les Amis, and more. “For many years Papadosio and LEAF Community Arts have walked parallel missions – awakening, inspiring, and activating our communities through music and arts,” said Ehren Cruz, Performing Arts Director at LEAF. “It’s an honor to now collaborate in the city we call home, setting off a phenomenal LEAF weekend with a Papadosio performance outdoors right in the heart of Asheville. All walks of life are welcome. All ways of life are celebrated.”
Papadosio recently announced plans for their new EP, Pattern Integrities, which will feature a performance method for the band. Perhaps Asheville will get the first taste of their new artistic plans. As always, there will be live painters and flow artists at the outdoor venue, adding to the micro-festival atmosphere.
